Tattooing is a journey we take together, a ritual of artistry and adornment, of surrender and strength, of letting go and reclaiming the body. After nearly ten years of practicing and immersing myself in the history and motifs of the ephemeral art form of henna body art , I am honored to be trusted by my clients to create permanent works of art with them. My passion is for ornamental designs inspired by global henna motifs - from India, Morocco, and the Middle East, as well as fusion ornamental designs which incorporate European folk art, art deco motifs, geometric designs, and stylized florals. I am grateful for the mentorship and guidance of local Portland artist Jeffrey Tarinelli, who's artistry, technical skill, and passion for the art of tattooing continues to be a guiding compass.
With a passion for custom designs, and a background in illustration, I am open to your custom requests and suggestions, please have a look at my work via my IG account, read my FAQ, and familiarize yourself with my style before filling out a request form. |
What do I get?
Getting a tattoo is an exciting and personal choice. The art of tattooing is possibly as old as humanity itself. There is archeological evidence of humans tattooing around the world as far back as 4,000 BCE, in Egypt, Nubia, and around the globe. There are many reasons people choose to permanently adorn their bodies. It is easier than before to inform yourself about what is possible and what styles you are drawn to. My suggestion is that you go with your gut and the informed support of a professional tattoo artist whose style you like. Getting tattooed for a symbolic or momentous reason is just as valid as getting tattooed for aesthetic purposes. Both have been reasons humans have chosen to tattoo themselves, for thousands of years. Remember that what is meaningful today may not be so in 20 years, aesthetic choices will change, but a fabulous well done tattoo is forever!
