Before your session:
Please wear comfortable, loose clothing that you are able to move around in easily (i.e. gym or yoga clothing). Soft pants or shorts and long sleeve shirts over a tank top are ideal, but whatever you feel most comfortable in. It is also recommended to avoid eating a large meal in the hour or two before your session, if your schedule allows it.
During session:
We will chat for a bit about your immediate and long term bodywork goals. I always encourage both first time and regular clients to ideally plan for the entire session to go for 15 minutes longer then the massage duration that they have selected (i.e. allot 105 minutes when scheduling a 90 minute session) to allow for us to chat both before and after the session. That way you will never feel rushed or have to jump right back out into the fray after a relaxing treatment. If you do have a particular time that you need to be out of my office by, certainly let me know and I will be sure to get you out the door on time!
During your session we may use a variety of techniques including deep tissue, structural bodywork, abdominal massage, cupping, gua-sha (scraping), breathwork, neuromuscular, myofacial, and movement education. If you are uncomfortable at any moment or a technique does not feel supportive, please let me know and we can shift modalities. Massage is a practice of embodiment and feeling more connected to yourself and your own power to transform.
Payment:
I accept cash or credit card for payment. Payment is expected at time of service.
Cancellation Policy:
I am always happy to help you with rescheduling an appointment, but ask that all cancellations be made at least 72hrs before the time of the appointment. Cancellations made less than 72hrs in advance (as well as no shows) will be billed 50% of the session rate. Exceptions can be made under special circumstances. Please reschedule if you are sick or caretaking someone who is sick with a contagious illness, and we can chat about exceptions to this policy.
If you would like to discuss your goals for this treatment prior to your appointment or have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact me!
