Thai massage is an ancient form of bodywork and branch of Thai Medicine, a system that was developed alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine. The primary focus of Thai bodywork is to free pathways of movement in the body. Techniques include joint mobilization, broad deep muscle compression, and focused point work along sen lines of the body. When the joints, muscles, tendons, blood vessels, and other structured of the body can move more fluidly there is less pain and greater functionality. We tailor each treatment to meet our clients current wellness goals - from deep relaxation to injury recovery.
*Due to the COVID19 pandemic, I am not currently offering mat Thai massage. I will apply Thai massage techniques during a table massage.
Before your session:
It is recommended to avoid eating a large meal in the hour or two before your session, if your schedule allows it.
For a full body treatment with a focus area we recommend a 2 hour Thai massage. A shorter full body treatment can be done in a 90 minute treatment. A 60 minute Thai massage is great for a focused treatment or maintenance work.
